The Progresus investment group has become a long-term partner of Czech horse polo! Our partnership will start this Friday, August 12, 2022, at the international tournament Progresus Prague Beach Polo in Prague Chuchle Arena, and will last until Sunday, August 14, 2022.
Horse polo is not only about victory, but mainly about honor and tradition. It fascinates us with its history, discipline, but also openness to innovation. Progresus Prague Beach Polo is a proof of that. This long-awaited event innovates the traditional sport from ancient Persia in an interesting way and the Progresus investment group will be part of it as its general partner.
“Prague Beach Polo moves the traditional horse polo from grass to sand for the first time! Our projects combine traditional with innovative and progressive, I think we have that in common with this event. We believe that horse polo, which is especially popular in Anglo-Saxon countries, will enchant more Czechs,” says Lukáš Zrůst, the co-founder of the Progresus investment group.
One of the most important personalities of horse polo in the Czech Republic is definitely Jan Průcha, the vice president of the Czech Association of Horse Polo Players. “Organizing a tournament on the first-class pitch in Prague Chuchle Arena has been my dream since I organized the first event in Pardubice three years ago. The Vítek family managed to build top facilities for show jumping in the Prague Chuchle Arena. Our players will have the great opportunity to compete on this amazing 100 x 60 meter pitch this weekend. Not only the Czech team, but also foreign teams and almost thirty horses with a total value of millions CZK will participate in the tournament. Seeing something like this in Prague is so unique that not only horse lovers should come and see it,” says Jan Průcha, the organizer of the Progresus Prague Beach Polo.
Building long-term partnerships is an important part of our company values. We want to support Czech culture and sport over a long period. Our support of Czech horse polo is therefore just beginning with this event. We will be part of the Taxis Polo Open Cup in Pardubice in October.
