We plant two trees for every book about nature the child has read.
We support the charity project “The Reading Helps” which is connected with an entrepreneur and philanthropist Martin Roman. On Earth Day, 22nd of April, we presented the programme “The Reading Helps nature”. Its aim is to lead kids to protection of nature and to reading about it in books. We plant two trees for every single book the child has read from the given list of book titles.
How to start?
New books about nature from the specialized publisher Kazda were added to the “The Reading Helps” list of book titles. When the child reads any book from the list, he or she gains 50 CZK credit for one of the charities, the way we know it from the project “The Reading helps”, but also RD Rýmařov plants a new tree for her or him around the city Trutnov. The planting will be provided by the “Czech Forest Academy in Trutnov”.
„We enable kids to plant their own forest. The only thing they can do for it is to read a book from the given list. After that we in RD Rýmařov together with the tree farmers, that we cooperate with, arrange everything. I believe that this challenge will motivate kids to learn about nature as well as to protect it,“ says Lukáš Foral, the co-founder of Progresus Invest Holding.
These are the examples of book titles from the reading list: “Stromy vypravují” by Marie Hruškové, “Jeden rok v životě včely” by Davida Gerstmeiera or “Citový život zvířat” by Petra Wohllebena and many more. There will be at least one charity focused on nature protection between all charities to which the kids donate their 50 CZK credit.
Involve your kids and help us to plant a forest in Podkrkonoší region.
