Construction of the new vat began on July 18th following the shutdown of the original furnace. Production resumed on September 18th, initially on two production lines, with a third line to be added gradually depending on demand.
Jaroslav Černý, the company’s production and technical director, was responsible for the technical management of the project. He collaborated on the implementation with a team of experts, including Lucie Gellerová, head of the glass melting furnace, and Enea Zappulla, site manager of the main contractor.

The reconstruction is not just a modernization, but also an important step towards sustainable business. The modernized heating system and more economical operation contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and will support the ESG commitments of the entire Progresus group.
“This step strengthens not only our competitiveness, but also the attractiveness of the company for investors who are looking for companies with a clear commitment to sustainability and long‑term growth,” adds Petr Králík.
